From a perspective of a gun
I feel cocked I feel handled I feel scared I hear Screams I feel Chaos I see flashes I hear Bang I see Sirens I see Lights I see bodies This is the perspective of the victim Walking home See cop He follows me I go in a store I buy my son a toy gun I come out of the store The cop jumps me I drop the toy He punches me When I go to the hospital I see mostly blacks This is about the mass shooting in Las Vegas. At a concert I start to hear bangs Then flashes People start to scream I see a man He has gun Many people running He is right behind me He shoots me! Ouch! My leg! People drive me to the hospital I'm on the verge of death This is from the perspective of the murder... Walking around Thinking Thinking I feel like this is right I need to do this I keep telling myself This is right I will do it When I walk in People scream I hear “He has a gun” I don’t even think I just Kill But something is wrong I feel something It is consuming me I feel bad I can’t take it I take the gun And shoot myself This is from the perspective of a cop Call comes from radio Someone reports there’s man with a gun My heart pounds I drive over I see him He is shooting He shoots again I pull out my gun walk out He shoots again I shoot him This poem is called guns in school Guns in school Guns in school I hate guns in school Scared Aware Nervous Do they help? Are you scared? Would you use ? Is it good ? Guns in school
